I finally conceded and made a twitter page - for me, the “real” me, not the Wise Troll-y One for whom I manage this blog. You can still expect a lot of snarkiness there, however, as the name implies. This twitter account is mostly for me to bitch & whine and rant & rave and gush & squee like a regular old FanBoi. It will not be limited to Game of Thrones / ASoIaF, though of course they will be prominently featured. Here are some other shows I’m into right now: Archer, Awake, Boardwalk Empire, Castle, Community, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Downtown Abbey, Dr. Who, Fringe, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Justified, The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, Luther, Misfits, Modern Family, Person of Interest, Sons of Anarchy, Sherlock, Supernatural, The Venture Brothers, The Walking Dead, Wilfred, 30 Rock. (Keep in mind I’m still catching up on several of these.)    

Anyway, I’d really appreciate it if y’all would follow me there if you have a twitter account. This is also kind of a test run to see if there would be any interest for me to write a TV / Pop Culture blog. I’ve done that in the past and put a lot of time and effort into it, and am considering doing so again, but this time around I’d like to reach a much wider audience.

…so I’ll be addressing a few questions I wasn’t sure how to answer before.

Also, I’ll probably post a (properly forewarned) spoiler-filled rant with all my various thoughts on the book in a little while.

“I like Ros.”

I don’t like every scene with her in it, but I do like the new character. In fact, I happen to like Ros a LOT more than Show!Shae. I can’t stand what little we’ve seen of Show!Shae. I actually was kind of hoping Ros would follow Tyrion and take on the role of Shae, becoming the new Hand of the King’s lover/whore/what-have-you. It would certainly have legitimized the attention given to her character in the early half of the season, and well, frankly, I just like her personality a lot more Show!Shae’s or even Book!Shae’s (not even taking into consideration all the junk that happens in A Storm of Swords, of course). 

So, again, I like Ros. I thought the show’s use of her and other women for sexposition (or exboobsition, if you prefer) was clunky and tiresome at times. Still, I hope this isn’t the last we’ve seen of her. I hope the showrunners find new and more interesting ways to use Ros to advance the plot and further develop the main characters.

But haters gonna hate.

Just to let y’all know, I save up some questions for later. Some are about a week old that I still haven’t answered. It’s not because I don’t like you, it’s because I haven’t thought of anything remotely witty/cruel to post as a reply. So please keep asking away; the more the merrier. I promise I won’t neglect them. I will answer them…eventually.

Also, I’m curious to know my readers’ spoiler preferences. Are there too many spoilers on this site? Or should I post spoilerish questions/answers after the jump with a warning beforehand, or what?

It’s hard to believe so many people could worship so cruel a god as me. But do not think for a second that such acts of veneration could sate my lust for blood. Remember: winter is coming, not mercy.
